The Palm Pre launched to short lines and more demand than there were Pre supplies. Palm has been working hard to build more Pres and according to Sprint, sales are robust.

TechCrunch reports that sales for week 5 post Pre launch have settled at 10 units or less in 30% of the stores, 10 to 20 units in 45% of stores, 20 to 30 units in 18% of stores and 30 to 50 units in 12% of stores. The week prior 40% of stores were selling 10 units or less, 33% were selling 10 to 20 units, 16% were selling 20 to 30 units, and there are no comparable numbers for stores selling 30 to 50 units.
Only 7% of Sprint stores that the analysts surveyed have reported that the majority of Pre customers were users new to Sprint. Most of the sales are customers already on Sprint upgrading to the device.
