I am more than a bit jealous that Om Malik over at the gigaom network has his hands on the Pre already. Malik has posted a super-quick hands-on review of the Pre to complement the Pre review we talked about from Boy Genius Report already.

According to Malik the Pre is a good looking device, but feels palsticky and lower quality than a Blackberry. The screen is said to be good and the phone is easy to grip reports Malik. The slide out keyboard is flimsy and cluttered he thinks.

Keyboards are a very subjective component of a phone and we tend to be jaded by the phone we are accustomed to using so I will hold my opinions on the keyboard until I get one in my geeky little hands. Malik reports that he didn’t get to play with the features of the phone much, but the phone seems well integrated. We only have a few more days to wait for a full review of the Pre, until then it’s just quick and dirty looks at the device like Malik’s.
