Oh no they didn’t. AT&T is circulating an internal document outlining the differences between the Pre and the iPhone, and is even preparing seminars for employees to brush up on their Pro-iPhone, anti-Pre information.  I’m really wondering what they managed to come up with considering the iPhone is a year old, and the Pre is brand-spankin’ new hardware. Let’s take a look.

Aside from the obvious physical differences, AT&T is bringing out the big guns, like pointing out the fact that the Pre only comes in BLACK plastic. The iPhone has White too b*!@#! What now?! (Even though that plastic is known to crack around the headphone jack…) Let’s see, unproven app store? Yeah, that’s right, all those Palm OS developers sure as heck aren’t going to develop for the new webOS, and it’s not like JUST anyone can learn HTML and Java and CSS…

Touchscreen control gestures not intuitive? I’m sorry, what’s not intuitive about swiping up? Or left or right, or the large number of gestures the Pre jacked from the iPhone? That’s like saying your pinch gestures aren’t intuitive…

Not a world phone? Great! Prevents me from spending a freak-load of money when my phone automatically runs up my bill because I forgot to turn off international data roaming! Can’t receive map updates or location assist information in most of the world due to lack of GSM? See above comment.

Ok, I’ve used AT&T wifi hotspots, and they’re slow as all get out. I switched to my Sprint mobile broadband card one time because it was so slow. The lack of AT&T wifi isn’t a big loss (especially if we get our tethering… *coughSPRINTcough*).

Seriously, this is the best they could come up with? I’m surprised they didn’t put “Not the Jesus Phone” or “Steve Jobs has nightmares about the Pre” on there.
