Palm have thrown open the doors to their webOS SDK, making the Palm Mojo beta available to anybody with a valid email address. According to the company's official blog, the submissions process for the App Catalog will open to all developers this fall.

Palm are tipped to be preparing webOS 1.1, the first significant upgrade to the Pre's software platform, for release within a month. While there's no official word from Palm themselves, the update is expected to address enterprise-friendly features such as remote security and improved Exchange support.

My Pre were invited to meet with representatives from Palm and O2 this afternoon, to discuss today's announcement regarding the European GSM Pre. Heavy Palm Pre users will have discovered that the smartphone's battery life can prove insufficient for a full day's use, especially when you're receiving push email and using juice-thirsty features like GPS and 3G data.
