Is that an extended battery or is your Pre just happy to see me?

Posted on 07 August 2009 by Shane McGlaun

I want more battery life for my smartphone as much as the next guy. However, I draw the line at gigantic batteries that are so fat they can’t even fit under the battery cover of the phone. I mean there is a point where extra runtime is offset by ugly, and the people at PreThinking have found that point. There are ... continued »

My Tether lets Pre users turn phone into modem

Posted on 07 August 2009 by Shane McGlaun

One of the things that I dislike most about my iPhone (other than AT&T's sketchy network) is that you can’t tether the device. Sure Apple offers tethering but AT&T has the feature blocked because they are a-holes. Yeah I said it. A slick app for the Pre is available called My Tether that allows you to tether the Pre for use ... continued »

Former Seinfeld writer integrates Pre into new show

Posted on 06 August 2009 by Shane McGlaun

I was never a big fan of Seinfeld when it was actually on the air. I watched a few episodes of the show, but I never really found it funny. Seinfeld the was sort of like The Office is now for me, I don't see the humor. One of the writers from Seinfeld, Peter Mehlman is getting his own YouTube channel ... continued »

Posted on 05 August 2009 by Shane McGlaun

One of the things I like about the iPhone I use is that it will sync my bookmarks from Internet Explorer to my phone. The feature would be more useful if I still relied on IE rather than Firefox, but still it's a nice feature. Mark/Space the creators of The Missing Sync app for the Pre have announced a new app ... continued »

Microsoft should buy Palm?

Posted on 03 August 2009 by Shane McGlaun

I would say that of the phones that have generated lots of buzz so far in 2009, the Pre is one of the most buzzed about. At the same time Windows Mobile, phones haven’t generated an iota of the buzz that Android, the iPhone, and the Pre have. PC World recons it's time for Microsoft to throw in the towel and ... continued »

Posted on 03 August 2009 by Shane McGlaun

One of the things that I have never had much personal use for is VoIP. I don’t; use it on my computer and I have never felt the need to give VoIP a shot on my mobile phone. Some people feel differently though and if you are a Pre user you will have several VoIP choices soon. One app coming is ... continued »
