Okay, okay, so a lot of people think the Palm Pre commercials are creepy while there are others who don’t believe that, we get it. And most – if not all – of us agree that Sprint’s commercials for the Pre are cool and the best out there for this Palm smartphone.

Now is Bell’s shot at TV Commercials, and while they are a departure from Modernista’s campaign – which many people believe is more about brand building – and the cool Sprint’s NOW Network ad campaign, they have some resemblance to Apple’s iPhone campaign. I understand that many – including me – people wanted the Palm Pre ads to show off features, and this latest ad from Bell clearly demonstrates the features of the Palm Pre.

And of course if you pay attention, you’ll notice that Bell’s ad wasn’t just a copy of the iPhone ads, but maybe a way to compare it to the iPhone without directly mentioning it. When the guy does all the things from the iPhone ad and then says, “But it doesn’t stop there”, then he begins to demonstrate the advantages the Pre has; like physical keyboard, multiple apps at once, etc. Now my question is, how did Bell manage to get Google Maps in landscape mode? I know for a fact my Pre doesn’t do that. Maybe next update?
