It seems like the launch of the Palm Pre in Canada is closer now. We know the wait has been longer for you neighbors, but it will be well worth it, I know because I own one. Neither Palm nor Bell Mobility have announced the cost of the handset, so prices are still unknown, although they expect it to be around $650 before any contractual reductions and discounts.

According to the internal document received by the good folks over at MobileSyrup.com; it shows that Bell employees across Canada have started training and also being updated on new devices and plans that will be released this quarter, plus info on the HSPA network. They have blocked out the locations so there will be no “Palm Pre crash parties.”
The training called “What is Pre”, has started in Calgary (July 20th) and then moves to Vancouver (July 21st), Toronto (July 23rd), Montreal (July 27th) and then, the last day of training on July 29th in Moncton. No word yet on the launch date, but with all this going on, the people at MobileSyrup feel confident that they will finally see the new Palm smartphone by months end.
I don’t know about months end, I would say by mid August. What do you think? Let us know in the comments.
