One of the big features on the Pre that has many fans excited is synergy and its ability to keep all of your contacts in one place. The problem with synergy is going to be similar to the problem many users of the iPhone faced when syncing with Outlook, lots (and lots and lots) of people you really don’t know and don’t want in your phone contacts list end up there automatically.

With the Pre synchronizing from Facebook, long time Facebook users with tons of friends that they really don’t know or communicate with will find their contacts section on the Pre stuffed. JKontheRun recons if the Pre then synchronizes with Google Contacts users will end up with Facebook not-friends all over their myriad of contact databases.

Perhaps when the Pre finally launches and we can get hands on with the device users will find that this is not an issue. All I know is that digging through pages of contacts on my iPhone I don’t even know to find the one I want is a massive pain and I hope the Pre has a way to prevent that issue.
