Flash Player 10.1 Beta Expected for WebOS later this year





As far as we know, Adobe Flash Player 10.1 is coming to Palm webOS in the first half of 2010. And many, including me, are hoping for an end of this year, apparently, we might get that little wish come true. You see, Adobe has released their first public beta version of Flash 10.1.

At this moment, the version that’s been released is available only for Windows, Macs with Intel chips, and Linux users. Although Adobe promised that smartphones will be getting the 10.1 version later. The good news for Pre users who want to get Flash is that, the only mobile platform with a promise for an earlier then 2010 beta on their sight is webOS.

And here’s why:

A prerelease version of Flash Player 10.1 is now available for Windows, Macintosh and Linux operating systems. A beta is expected to be available for Palm webOS later this year. Sign up to be notified when Flash Player 10.1 for Palm Pre beta is available.

So there you have it folks, those of you who are waiting on Flash, Adobe is working hard to get out for you. Palm Pixi and Pre owners, get ready, as it would seem you will be amongst the first to get Flash Player 10.1 on your smartphones.
