One of the big complaints that some Pre owners have is that the app store for the device lacks a significant number of applications. Thankfully, and unlike Apple, Palm and Sprint do have a method for home brewed apps to be installed on the Pre.

JkOnTheRun spent the weekend playing with the unofficial home brew app store for the Pre that is accessible at PreCentral. According to reports last week, there were 73 apps available on the home brew catalog and as of today, there are 94.
That means that the home brew crowd is working harder and faster than those making apps for the official Pre app store. The only downside is that many of the apps are basically beta versions and will be works in progress. Still, if you have a hankering for new Pre apps and there is nothing on the real app store you find interesting you can try this.
