When I was a kid I frequently took things apart and just as frequently couldn’t put them back together afterwards. Now that I am older I don’t take things apart, mostly because I know how hard it is to make the loot to buy them to start with.

If you have a morbid fascination with what your gadgets, like our beloved Pre and its accessories, look like on the inside, iFixit has your fix. The Pre Touchstone charger has been paid for and rapidly taken apart to get a look at what’s on the inside of the slick little accessory.

The word on the street is that the Touchstone has a mere fraction of the units selling price in hardware on the inside meaning it is a high markup item and has lots of room for the price to come down. Perhaps, we will soon see the Touchstone selling for under the $69.99 it currently sells for. Even better would be if future versions of the Pre came with the Touchstone.
