Jailbroken iPhones Get WebOS-style Multitasking via ProSwitcher [Video]

As we all know, multitasking is one of the best weapons the Palm Pre has against other smartphones. But the iPhone users want some form of multitasking for their own handsets. ProSwitcher might be able to give them some of that multitasking love they desperately need.

For all the iPhone users out there who like to stick with their iDon’t phone but love the cards metaphor of the Palm webOS platform, a developer named Ryan Petrich has come to their rescue. ProSwitcher for jailbroken iPhones enables Palm Pre-like multitasking. It is not as elegant as webOS, but is a start.

ProSwitcher lets you switch between apps while automatically back grounding the app you leave. It is able to select background, dim back ground, and the do the famous swipe to close that Palm webOS brought to the world. So there you go iDon’t friends, first, you’ll have to jailbreak your iPhone, and after you get the ProSwitcher app, you’ll have to launch it before you even start your multitasking card flipping, webOS-like experience.
