MotionApps Classic Application demoed, plays video games

It was assumed, and now confirmed, that video games will transfer over to the Palm Pre from old Palm devices. Anyone who racked up a high score on their favorite 3D racing game can now retain the joy that is surely theirs alone. The video of the woman from Motion Apps shows off some great capabilities from the Palm Pre, though the translation from capacitive finger touch to an OS that is used to the point of a stylus seems to need a little refining.

Already, the applications for the Palm Pre are looking beautiful. Those asking about 3D gaming will be happy to know that the Pre is fully capable of it, you might just be playing older generation games for the PalmOS. webOS is not necessarily designed to handle the higher graphics required for a Pre version of Castle Wolfenstien or Doom.

As mentioned before, the capacitive touch screen seems to be a little buggy, only because Palm OS is used to a stylus, which is far more accurate than a finger. Palm OS simply doesn’t have the programming to know how to recognize and predict what a user is trying to press.
