We kicked off with the news that tabloid-favorite Angelina Jolie has taken time out of her busy film/adoption timetable to give her opinion on the Pre.  Apparently the smartphone’s screen scratches too easily, but the thumboard is great and the software is “better than the iPhone”.

There’s also been a fair chunk of financial assessment and general Pre analysis this week, with BillShrink performing the former.  They’ve pitted the iPhone and Pre against each other, and while there’s nothing really new it’s always good to see a fair comparison.  Whether you can say the same about AT&T’s internal Pre/iPhone comparison document depends on what side of the Palm/Apple fence you sit on.  What we’d rather see more of are live, in-the-wild photos of the Pre, such as those leaked this week of the smartphone seemingly showing a YouTube video app. 

Finally, Sprint paid My Pre the biggest compliment of all by “borrowing” our fortune cookie idea to promote the smartphone.  Thanks guys; we’ll expect the royalty check in the mail this week…
