I remember the first Advertisement about the Pre and the Now Network. Of course back on April, those first Now Network commercials displayed the Pre but did not talk about it, did not even mention it. Well, Sprint Finally made one of those TV Commercials just for the Pre.
A lot of you (me included) like the Sprint Ads better then those from Palm. Of course Palm’s TV commercials are nice, but on June 27, in Cannes, France, Sprint was recognized for its tech-savvy Now Network campaign, which engaged Internet users in an unprecedented interactive experience about what’s happening “Now.” The campaign captured the festival’s top award – the Gold Lion for an Integrated Campaign – a category recognizing excellence in a multiplatform advertising campaign. The Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival is considered by many as the Academy Awards of the advertising industry.
The Sprint Now Network campaign also took home five other awards – four Silver Lions and a Bronze Lion in the Digital Category. Sprint was the only brand to win multiple awards within a category. Additionally, Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, Sprint’s advertising agency, was recognized as Interactive Agency of the Year at Cannes.
Ever since they started they’ve displayed the Palm Pre in hands and action and even prominently at the end of the ad, but never named it or explained its abilities. Now, with the newest TV ad in about two months, all that changes. And this time the Palm Pre is the primary focus of the ad, along of course, with Sprint’s Simply Everything plan. And like the other Now Network ads, this one’s wacky and crazy and incredibly visually dynamic (if you actually watch it on TV).
Now, if someone could explain why Sprint came up with an idea of a Dunkin’Donuts in Space??? Lol.
