For all those NFL fans that own a Palm Pre, rejoice; Sprint is finally bringing the NFL Mobile Live app to the Pre on August 1st. The company has confirmed on its support page the good news. A lot of us that had Sprint Data Plans in the past, know that the NASCAR and NFL apps came for free and pre-installed on most devices, but on the Pre, the NFL was left out.
NFL Mobile Live will be sent to you in an OTA software update from Palm. When you accept the update, it will be automatically installed. Once it’s installed, type NFL on your keyboard from the main screen or the Launcher. Then just tap the NFL icon to open it. Also, NFL Mobile Live will be pre-loaded on any Palm Pre bought after August 1st, 2009.
According to Sprint; it’s the NFL whenever and however you want it. With Live audio broadcasts of every regular season game, 8 Live NFL Network games, Live NFL Network 24/7. And don’t forget the Customizable “Red Zone Alerts”, that let you know when a team is likely to score. Sprint has also simulcast the NFL Network’s Live Rookie Draft broadcast, for the last four years, along with text alerts for draft picks, general NFL news and blog posts, and a live countdown Clock.
