It seems that after the BIG ANNOUNCEMENT today at the Web 2.0 Summit of the early SDK, Palm also confirmed that a third party developer will be supporting Legacy PalmOS applications.

“Classic” is an application designed by MotionApps and will allow users to use the legacy PalmOS applications. Obviously, no word on availability.

It seems the rumors weren’t completely off, although the support isn’t coming from Palm directly, it’s nice to see the love for our Treo brethren.
