Palm Mojo SDK is a work in progress says InfoWorld

When the Palm Pre launched people were anxiously waiting for the Mojo SDK to launch as well so more developers could start writing apps for the smartphone. The Mojo SDK has been around for a while now and developers have had time to find its good and bad points.

InfoWorld reports that the Mojo SDK is very simple to use. While the SDK isn’t tagged as a beta offering, InfoWorld reports that it is clearly a work in progress. According to the publication, the SDK has numerous rough edges and undocumented sections.

The issues are nothing that Palm can’t fix with time and attention. The real question is how long will it take Palm to smooth the rough edges and document all areas of the SDK. Another big issue right now is that game developers can’t get at OpenGL. We all know games are among the most popular apps available on most smartphones.
