Now that the Palm Mojo Software Development Kit is available to the public, you don’t just have to take Palm’s word for what it offers you. With the help of Palm Inc., you can try to make your own games for webOS a reality. One of the easiest ways to get an idea of what you can do with webOS is to have a look at some of the latest from Palm webOSdev community.

The Palm Pre is the first webOS device from Palm, and as we all know it features a – fairly – large multitouch screen and an advanced microprocessor, which should be perfect hardware features to support mobile gaming. We know that some of you want to have games that can take advantage of those features. Unfortunately, webOS and Palm Mojo SDK development currently offer the basic elements to create games.
So, while the Mojo Framework does not currently support some types of games, most notably 3D and fast-paced arcade games. For now, with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS – the same core technologies that web developers apply so well and power the webOS – are also suitable for creating a wide range of games like; puzzles, word games, card and board games, innovative social games, and the list goes on – even simple arcade games.
Are you a developer? Go ahead and give it a shot. And with this new space open (the Game Developer Cafe). It seems like Palm is listening to those who want games. Or at least is heading in the right direction.
