At the end of July we brought news to you about a new concept from Palm to show off the Pre smartphone. Well I’m glad to inform that this “Experience” Center is up and running. Not only that, but check how modern and cool it looks.

Starting today and for the next two weeks the Pre Experience will be at The Grove in LA. It moved from The Americana at Brand, where people enjoyed it until August 16. Visitors will get a hands-on experience with the Pre and a chance to win prizes and weekly free concerts. On stage this evening: Michelle Branch and American Idol contestant Jason Castro, followed by Gavin Rossdale next Wednesday.
Besides the Palm Pre, I have to say that the 240 square-foot exhibit looks pretty cool too. It was built in about twelve hours using a stripped down version of the itHouse, which was design by a Los Angeles architecture firm named Taalman Koch Architecture. This structure was built using aluminum framing, a galvanized steel roof with R19 roof insulation, and redwood floors. It’s only obvious that the large overhangs and colorful – orange – umbrella stations will certainly help to provide shade for customers checking out the Palm Pre.
