Palm have quietly added the Pre to their UK website, a move which not only confirms a GSM launch but hints that it might be coming sooner rather than later.  The UK does not have a CDMA network such as is used by Sprint in the US, and as such will require a 3G GSM version. 

In fact, Pre Community spotted that the demo Palm Pre handsets at Mobile World Congress this week were all GSM models using the Vodafone Spain network.  Palm have made no official announcement regarding either that network or the GSM versions of the Pre in general.

Right now, all you can do on the UK version of the Palm Pre teaser page is sign up to receive email updates about the handset.  We’re hoping one of those updates will tell us when European buyers will be able to get their hands on the device, and with which carriers; our experience of the Pre at MWC has done nothing to dampen our enthusiasm.
