It’s Monday morning, the Pre Community team are in Barcelona and all around us are Palm Pre handsets; it can only mean one thing, we’re at Mobile World Congress and getting ready for our meeting with Palm. We still don’t know what exactly Palm might be announcing this week – though we’re hoping for a GSM version of the Pre and a European launch date – but we’re jumping at the chance to spend more time with, and shoot more video of, Palm’s awesome new handset.

We’ll have photos and video up as soon as they’re processed, together with any interesting news we hear from the Palm team themselves. While there’s plenty we already know about the Pre, it’s been a long few month since CES in January and there’s a lot of pressure on Palm to deliver a slick demonstration now that the initial surprise has worn off.
Right now the Palm VIP lounge is quiet, with more Pre than press in here. There are three video demo stations set up, with cameras beaming the live Pre shows to big-screen monitors, plus some private rooms for 1-on-1 time. Palm’s obviously put some serious effort into making their show presence as inviting as possible. Pre Community managed to score the first interview slot of the day – 9am local time, and they were nice enough to let us in early to borrow their WiFi and raid their bar - so you know where to find all the key news.
