Palm Pre Books Coming in September and October

First, we brought to you the activation process of the Palm Pre. Then, we came up with the Palm Pre Factsheet, the Features Guide and the Getting Started Guide. And if that wasn’t enough, we posted the entire Sprint Palm Pre User Guide, all 344 pages which were (and still are) up for grabs.

Now we have news from Amazon that there will be two books for sale about the Pre Smartphone. Well actually, you can pre-order any of these books at Amazon.com now. So if you like to learn more about the Pre besides the User Guide, you have these two options. The first is named Palm Pre: “The Missing Manual”, by USA Today’s Ed Baig and is scheduled to be published on September 2nd of this year.

The second book is “Palm Pre for Dummies”, which will be published on October 19th. The author is Chris Ziegler, Associate Mobile Editor at Engadget, who also wrote “T-Mobile G1 for Dummies”. Both books are listed at the same pre-order price of $16.49 for now.

These books will basically teach you the ins and outs of the new Palm Pre smartphone and the WebOS that runs inside of it. Palm Pre: The Missing Manual has 384 pages, and Palm Pre For Dummies only 312 pages.

With all the changes we have seen in the Pre with the WebOS updates, we don’t know how this will affect some of the information contained in these books. But still, these books will most likely make a good companion to those who are less tech savvy than some of our readers or our forum members.
