Recently the Palm Pre received a little help to get a virtual keyboard working with it. Although it was in development and in it’s early stage the guys behind it at WebOS Internals gave hope to those who want a “soft” keyboard on the Pre.

This time, thanks to Alan Rodriguez, those who love the idea of a virtual keyboard on the Pre, are one step closer of having one. Alan posted a how-to video on youtube – which looks kind of easy, if you know how to root – detailing how to install emoney_33’s nice-looking virtual keyboard on webOS.
According to Chad of AppOfTheDay2 from youtube, when you press any number or letter on this new virtual keyboard, the Pre vibrates. Chad mentions also that it “works like a charm like the iPhone 3gS, iPod Touch 2g, or any other device that has a virtual keyboard”.
If you want to see it in action check this video. Although not demonstrated in the video, it works just fine in landscape mode as well. And if you want to learn how to get it, check the video below. And remember, we do not encourage anyone to hack any device, so do this at your own risk.
