We all know that the first webOS phone has been making the rounds with high scores in other places, like Popular Mechanics for example. There, the Palm Pre was among the 10 Most Brilliant Products of 2009, I definitely have to agree with them. And now, the Pre is also one of the hottest on Twitter’s Trending Topics, and is one of the Top Twitter Trends of 2009 according to Twitter.

As you can see on the image above, the Top Twitter Trends of 2009 is broken out by categories. On the News Events category you’ll find trends about the Swine Flu, and also about troubled places like Gaza, Iran and Tehran. There are also categories for People, Movies, TV Shows, Sports, Hash Tags, and of course, Technology.

And on the category for Technology is where you’ll find the Palm Pre, ranking number 6, amongst Google Wave, Snow Leopard, Windows 7 and others. But more impressive is that, our beloved black little pebble was the only consumer electronics product in the group. Not even the iPhone or even one of the Android phones made it there, now that’s impressive!
