It was recently (well, more like three days ago) that we brought news to you about Modernista – the agency behind the ads of the Palm Pre – talking about the plans they have for the new campaign for Palm. We also mentioned that Palm had several things lined up for the Pre smatphone. Here’s one of them, a mini-series online comic named “The Prisoner.”

The Palm Pre made a cameo in the Comic-Con Marvel Comic preview of the upcoming AMC remake of the cult-favorite TV series “The Prisoner.” Starring Patrick McGoohan as a secret agent who is held prisoner in a seaside village and his capturers have to find out why he resigned from his job. The “prisoner” is some sort of amnesiac, who is on a mission to find out who he is. You can download a free PDF of the comic here.

The comic is sponsored by the Palm Pre, and that is why they have included an image of the Pre at the end of the 1st edition of the comic. You can see the Palm Pre plays a big part in the photo above. The comic subtly plugs the Palm Pre smartphone as the phone to have when reading online comics.
