According to a document discovered by InsideSprintNow, it looks like other micro-USB charging solutions will not work with the Palm Pre! If I’m reading this correctly, you must buy Palm’s branded micro-USB vehicle power charger (model number PVX8930R, priced at $31.99) if you want to charge the Pre in your car. I simply don’t see how this is possible – aren’t all micro-USB car chargers the same?

Also, should you want to charge the Pre away from home, you “must” have the Palm Micro-USB Travel Charger (model number PSX9852R, priced at $34.99).

UPDATE: A new slide from Engadget now says: Due to the uniqeness of this device, optimum performance can only be guaranteed through use of Sprint or Palm Pre accessories.
