Palm Pre SDK coming at end of summer

I’ve already mentioned today that the Pre is having a hard time generating the levels of downloads that its competitors the application market are able to generate. Applications are one of the best parts of many of the mobile phones on the market including the iPhone.

One of the ways that Palm will woo new developers to create apps for its device by launching a new Palm SDK. The SDK will provide the tools that developers need to program for the Pre and hopefully get more apps available for the device.

The Palm SDK is called Mojo and the software is slated for delivery late this summer. To help get apps to market faster before the SDK is available, Palm will expand the early access program to allow more developers in and more apps out before the general release of the SDK.
