Many, if not all of those reading this, will more likely don’t care about Palm dumping WinMo in favor of webOS devices, we get that. But we also understand that there are still a lot of people out there who not only need, but trust Windows Mobile devices, specially if those devices are from Palm.

pre-vs-pro

Unfortunately, today during Palm’s financial results conference call, Jon Rubinstein made it official: “Due to importance of webOS to our overall strategy, we’ve made the decision to dedicate all future develoment resources to the evolution of webOS. Which means that going forward, our roadmap will include only Palm webOS-based devices.” As you can see, Palm is only going to develop webOS devices from now on. So say goodbye to Palm-branded Windows Mobile handsets.

Now, what does this mean, will the Treo Pro be the last of its kind? Maybe, maybe not, Jon Rubinstein emphasized how well the webOS can fit for business. Does this mean that the next Treo will be a webOS handset? Or maybe the Pixi, which has a Treo-esque type design, will just replace the Palm Treo? We don’t know, what we know is, Palm has said since the announcement of the Pre that we should expect a full line of webOS devices.
