According to the Guardian, the Pre is going to be launching on O2 in the UK, putting it on the same carrier as the iPhone overseas. This is going to provide for some interesting competition if Apple’s new iPhone is launched as expected.

Since the uncovering of the GSM version of the Pre at Mobile World Congress 09, there has been little-to-no news on the international version of Palm’s saving grace. Now, we’re hearing that O2 will indeed have the Pre, beating out Vodaphone and Orange for the exclusive rights to the device.

UK residents can look to have the device before the end of the year, possibly in time for the holidays.
