Sprint reported a large loss and a significant customer defection in its most recent earnings report. Sprint lost about a quarter of a million subscribers over the last quarter despite finally having a high profile handset with the Palm Pre.

Analyst Walter Piecyk from Palu Equity Research reports that he believes that sales for the Pre have finally stabilized at Sprint. Piecyk believes that over the last week Sprint sold 25,000 Pres. Official numbers are unavailable since Sprint didn’t announced how many of the devices it hold sold in its earnings call.
The analyst notes that it is believed that Sprint could increase sales from the 25,000 per week number with either a price cut or more advertising. We can only hope that the ads Sprint uses aren’t as weird as the ones Palm is pushing.
