The Palm Pre and the iPhone have drawn lots of comparisons since the new 3GS launched a week after the Pre. The iPhone sold way more copies and finally fixed an issue that has been around since it launched — video recoding.

The Pre and the original iPhone and iPhone 3G share the same lack of video recording capability. What the Pre does have is a very fast picture-to-picture time that allows images to be shot every second.
One enterprising Pre owner has taken those one-second delay images and pieced them together in a sort of stop motion video. Sure it’s not as good as real video recording, but if making odd movies is something you like, the stop motion capabilities of the Pre are interesting.
