Pandora was originally announced as a partner at CES, and today it was shown off as an example of the fantastic applications Pre will have to offer. Pandora works well on the Pre. The audio quality comes through beautifully, and the interface is polished and refined, with full integration into the notification menu.

When a song changes, it will notify you via the Pre’s notifications at the bottom of the screen. It’s beautiful, and un-intrusive.

Here’s where Pre bests iPhone. How many of you wanted to run Pandora in the background while you worked? Well now you can. With Pre’s multi-tasking, you can minimize the Pandora application card, and move to another application with Pandora still running and song changes are displayed via the notifications. This is the best news I’ve heard all day, honestly. The only thing better for me would be a launch date and price.
