Release dates for products are usually nothing but speculation and analysis of rumors and supplier data without an official announcement from a manufacturer. The same is certainly the case with the Palm Pre.

Combing the Twitter-verse and other internet news sites, MobileComputer has uncovered yet more possible release dates for both the Sprint CDMA and unlocked GSM Pre handsets. According to a few “tweets” by Twitter user sarahcuda, Sprint employees who are allegedly training by using the device have told her the handset will not launch state-side on their CDMA network until June this year.

That release date is challenged by Smart-Device info site PDAdb.net, who shows release dates of April for Sprint, and June for GSM. It’s sure not February, but the Pre is so anticipated that any meeting of Palm’s promised launch of “the first half of 2009″ is sure to be appreciated.
