The Palm announcement at 5pm PST today might be to announce PalmOS Application support or webOS.  This is JUST A RUMOR, but the Palm rep I asked replied “I can’t say anything about that.” But she was awfully smiley about it all.

I had been expecting some sort of huge announcement from Palm, something to put the Pre over the top and stick it to Apple somehow.  Legacy support would do just that.  This opens up the number of applications on the Pre to…well, every application ever developed for PalmOS. That is a lot.
