We had rumors of the Pixie/EOS for a long time now. These rumors were about a second webOS device with a candybar figure, probably with the same layout as the Treo Pro. And Palm never aknowledge any of this rumors, until now it would seem.

According to Tech Crunch, a source close to the company – Palm – said that the second webOS device codenamed Pixie, also known as the Palm Eos, will debut in New York, as part of Fashion Week . The rumors had also the Palm Pixie/EOS being available for the holidays, but there was no official word from Palm at that time.

Now, there has been a lot of speculation on which carriers will have the Pixie/EOS, for now it’s a mystery . The other thing that seems odd is the timing, just like Palm’s launch of the Pre just days before the iPhone 3Gs became available. Tomorrow (or today actually, it is early in the morning) Apple is holding a major event that will likely focus on new iPod Touch features.
