Apple hinted weeks ago that future versions of iTunes might not allow the Pre to sync music. Most of us knew that what Apple was saying was we are breaking that feature with the next update.

This week the latest iTunes update come out and Apple did in fact squash the ability for the Pre to sync with iTunes. Luckily, for the Pre owners out there a third party work around from a company called Salling is available.

The app is called Media Sync and sends music, podcasts, photos, and other content to a USB connected device like the Pre. The app will send all the music in your iTunes library over to the Pre and even keeps you playlists intact. If you purchased DRM laden tracks from iTunes, it can’t move those over.
