Unfortunately, after the data loss problems with the Palm Pre, there is a lawsuit against not only Palm, but also against Sprint. So now, Palm is been attacked on two fronts, as you remember, there is also another lawsuit from Artifex Software against Palm for a copyright infringement.

According to SprintConnection there is a California lawsuit in the U.S. District Court, which seeks class action status. This comes after several – there isn’t an exact number – Palm Pre customers have lost their contacts, calendars and other personal information on their smartphones.
As we all know, the Pre uses cloud technology to remotely store not only contacts, but also other information for its customers. Apparently, older versions of webOS were not properly restoring the backups made by newer versions. And so far, Palm has not made any real fix to this, so let’s hope all this gives them a wake up call.
