Seeking Alpha took a look at the web traffic to Palm.com and Sprint.com and tracked the visitation numbers for last few months. The results are a strong number of visitors (over 400,000) immediately after the announcement of the Pre at CES in January. If there's one thing better than a video demo, it's a video demo in high-definition. The team at mobiledivide were at CES earlier this month, and shot a short clip of the Pre being demonstrated by Stephanie Richardson, part of Palm's marketing team, in HD. Frankly, the Pre loves HD - that HVGA display pops as though it's OLED.

According to our sister site SlashGear, Palm was crowned "Best In Show" at CES for its press conference unveiling the new Pre smartphone. The Pre announcement came with high expectations and was considered by many to be a make-or-break event for the former PDA powerhouse. In the eyes of many, Palm delivered and then some.

Palm has announced the Pre, the company's latest touchscreen smartphone, with EVDO Rev-A, WiFi b/g and Bluetooth 2.0. The Pre has a 3-megapixel camera with LED flash and extended depth of field, together with GPS, and supports the A2DP wireless stereo profile.
