Listening music in our mobile devices has become second nature to most of us. That's why we were happy when we announced the hombrew music player "NaNplayer" for the Palm Pre as an alternative to the stock music player. After reviewing it, Palm has decided to keep the NaNplayer app out of the App Catalog for now.

The Palm Pre had been out just less than twenty days when the App Catalog reached over one million downloads. The folks at Precentral report that - although they just started counting from August 19th, so the actual figure might be higher -their Homebrew App Gallery is already over one million downloads too.

One of the big complaints that some Pre owners have is that the app store for the device lacks a significant number of applications. Thankfully, and unlike Apple, Palm and Sprint do have a method for home brewed apps to be installed on the Pre.
