Palm investor Roger McNamee's recent cheerleading for the Pre was by turns a bizarre piece of theater and a rather over-enthusiastic (not to mention simplistic) portrayal of the smartphone ecosystem. Roger McNamee has a 39 percent stake in Palm so of course he has every right to spread the Pre-gospel any way he likes.
