We got our own video of a hands-on demonstration of the Classic application on the Palm Pre. The news that MotionApps would be releasing a Palm-sanctioned emulator for webOS, allowing Palm OS software to run on the Pre, was met with much interest. PhoneScoop managed to catch a video demo of the Pre running Classic, together with details on just how straightforward it will be to load original Palm OS programs onto the new smartphone.

It seems that after the BIG ANNOUNCEMENT today at the Web 2.0 Summit of the early SDK, Palm also confirmed that a third party developer will be supporting Legacy PalmOS applications.
"Classic" is an application designed by MotionApps and will allow users to use the legacy PalmOS applications. Obviously, no word on availability.
