The funny man himself had some interesting things to say in this video that was shown before the Palm keynote at D7 today. The Palm Pre apparently has a ton of capabilities that only Roger is aware of. Who knew?

I want to believe that Pre is good enough of a phone to help turn Palm around. Palm's Q3 financial results were a huge disappointment for shareholders, with a net loss of $0.86 per diluted share. Palm resold a couple of more shares than originally planned; 23.13M shares to be exact, compared with the 18.5M shares owned by Elevation Partners it had intended to sell. The selling price was $6 per share yielding a total of $132.9M and of which $49M went to Elevation and $83.9M went to Palm.

Roger McNamee has a 39 percent stake in Palm so of course he has every right to spread the Pre-gospel any way he likes.
