Palm have apparently confirmed that they will be making an announcement next week regarding the UK version of the Palm Pre. The news, says T3, will include which network has won exclusivity for the GSM handset in the UK, when exactly it will be available, and at what price.

Palm have quietly added the Pre to their UK website, a move which not only confirms a GSM launch but hints that it might be coming sooner rather than later. The UK does not have a CDMA network such as is used by Sprint in the US, and as such will require a 3G GSM version.

Vodafone could be Palm's official carrier partner for the Palm Pre in the UK, according to the latest rumors.
