It has bee almost a week since the App Catalog reached the 500 apps barrier, and now, it has 634 applications. The last time many of us, Palm Pre owners got very excited about having more than those few apps that we started with back in June 6th.

Now we both – Palm Pre and Pixi owners – know, that the best is yet to come. Behind are the days we anxiously pushed on the “Update” button on our webOS devices to only find out a few updates to apps, or, if we were lucky, to find a few new applications. However, Palm should not rest there, we still need more and better apps, we still crave for more greatness from our webOS handsets.

This last installment brought a whole bunch of basketball apps, they will be good for many, but basketball is not the only sport out there. We are still waiting on a proper Docs app to help the many webOS users that require that on their working environment. So Palm, keep up the good work, webOS developers, thanks, and keep up the great work and effort.
