It’s a bit more than I was hoping, but it looks like the Touchstone is going to run consumers a nice $70 in order to get the wonders of wireless charging for their Pre. The $70 gets you the special battery cover for inductive charging as well, which makes up a good $15 of the cost. No information on the Pre though.

A screen shot from Engadget of a Point of Sale screen shows the Touchstone for $69.99. The other items in the screen are the Treo 750’s and Centros (the Treo 690). The screen shot looks legitimate, though I’m wondering why the cost is so much. I could have stomached $50, or maybe $60, but $70 is quite a bit. I guess that’s the premium you have to pay for the latest cordless charging tech.
Sadly, this one only charges your phone, and doesn’t transfer data or make you a cappuccino like the future magical Touchstones might. Anyone out there now changing their minds on purchasing the Touchstone now that the price has come to light?
