Verizon wants to be sure that consumers know it will be getting the Pre sometime next year. Sprint only has the exclusive for six months and when that expires Verizon will be offering the device on its network.

Verizon happens to be the largest network in the country and we should really see what the Pre has when it hits Verizon since things have stagnated with Sprint by most accounts. Verizon says that the Pre will be available early next year.

We could assume that to mean in the first quarter of the year. Verizon also says that this year it plans to introduce its own app store. It is mum on details about the app store at this point.
