At the end of September, there were a lot of rumors about the Palm Pre not making it to Verizon Wireless. But we all know that Verizon’s own CEO Lowell McAdam has said that the wireless carrier would have Palm’s webOS device in January. Well, it appears that is still on track.

The official Verizon Wireless twitter account posted the update over the weekend, stating that: “We will be carrying the Palm Pre smartphone early next year.” Well, it is not January on this latest update, but close enough. Anyways, great news for Palm and to the new webOS crowd.
This will certainly bring more people into the webOS platform, and app developers should start looking with more interest towards webOS. It is a great time to be a webOS user if you ask me. And for those who want to stay with Verizon, it looks like the carrier is finally showing some love towards some new and better hardware.
