MotionApps has released a video preview of HotSync for Classic. Classic, in case you forgot, is the app for the Palm Pre that emulates the older Palm OS allowing apps for older devices to run on webOS for the Pre. Unfortunately, HotSync wasn’t in the picture, but those still using the old Palm OS apps on the Pre may get lucky pretty soon.

According to MotionApps, “While we are waiting for the highly anticipated update from Palm which will bring HotSync support to Classic users, we wanted to show you how it works. Seeing is believing, right?” MotionApps had always promised to add that feature for some time. It appears they are going to keep their word.
Another interesting bit is, they mentioned an update from Palm. So the speculations about an update for webOS are (it would appear) close to become reality. Lets hope that update brings a lot more features with it than just a HotSync support for Classic. Also, you can see in the video that MotionApps shows how you’ll be able to HotSync the Classic software to Palm Desktop on your computer using a Wi-Fi connection. As for an ETA for the release, well, up to now, that’s anybody’s guess.
