Walmart Offering the Palm Pre and Pixi with a 4GB MicroSD card…Wait, what?

For those who want a good deal on a new Palm handset, Walmart wireless online (LetsTalk) is offering the Palm Pre for $79.99 and the Pixi for only $29.99. Now the most interesting part of this is not the price of the webOS devices, but the 4GB microSD card that you’ll get for free if you buy one of these handsets.

Actually, the offering is valid with different phones, but (as you can see on the image above) from the webOS devices only if you buy the Sprint Palm Pre or Pixi you’ll get the free memory card. If you want to buy the Verizon Pre Plus or Pixi Plus then you can’t get the free memory card and the price changes, you can get the Pixi Plus for free and the Pre Plus for $139.99.

Now why is Walmart offering a 4GB microSD card with two smartphones that do not use any type of memory card is beyond me. Maybe is just to attract new buyers who might need a memory card for another device, who knows. And as we all know the prices for these handsets are good if you get the regular 2 year contract of course.
